So i know that over the years my mom has been a "mom" to many people, and here's me, looking past the privilege of not only having a mom but having an amazing women as mine. So i've decided to make an acrostic poem for her name.
N is for Nocturnal. Though my mom values sleep more than daylight, if i (or any of my siblings) need something, she's up and in action. And sometimes she ends up sleeping on the couch to be"on call."
E is for Enduring. My family's moved quite a bit and i feel like it would have been ten times more dramatic and emotional had my mom not been so faithful in her love for us, for people and for God.
T is for Teacher. My mom has always been someone of great understanding, this is something that i have clung to.
"Sometimes what our heart wants most IS what God wants for us. Maybe down the road you'll get those things, but trust Jesus for now." notice how her words agree with Psalm 37:4.(one of my faves.)
T is for Timeless. Proverbs 17:17 says, "Friends love through all kinds of weather, and families stick together in all kinds of trouble." My mom's beautiful love is like a timeless antique, (i'm not calling her old.) It's setting, outlook, and overall purpose may completely alter, but the beauty of it's being earns respect and admiration from all who come across it.
A is for Ardency. Favoritism, arguements, furiosity, and serious anger have never EVER been a problem in my family. It's kinda like in Matthew 10:34 "If you prefer father or mother over me, you don't deserve me. If you prefer son or daughter over me, you don't deserve me." My parents love God before eachother, Jesus over us. So God's love spilling out of them is what is more than enough for eachother and more than enough for the family. My mom's ardent, Christlike love for my family is the bond that glues all of us together.
Happy Mother's Day Mom, hopefully the years get better and better which would make this the best year yet. And if you were wondering, the title means,
"My mother, the most amazing women."

I'm in tears, too, and you're not even my daughter! lol
What a beautiful acrostic poem. So true & so challenging to try to live in such a way that my kids will some day arise & call me blessed (Prov. 31) as you are for your mom.
